To finalize the sale the first step was to have the property measured by "Il Geometra." This is a survey of the property clearly defining the existing walls, property lines, access to the street, garden, etc. It would determine what we would be able to do.
I met the Geometra at the house and helped measure. His plans would come several weeks later in mid June, and Marcello's plans would come the beginning of August. Candy was chomping at the bit to get this work done; but I was pretty sure that the pace would always be behind what we wanted. I couldn't imagine the work being completed before the following July of 2020.
From the plan that the Geometra produced Marcello started his plans. The first set were just the house as it existed, followed by a second with some proposals we had discussed. They included adding a two bathrooms, opening up several walls, and possibly eliminating the old kitchen on the garden side.
