LECCE
Lecce is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, and has one of the largest historic centers in Europe. It sits atop the province of the same name which extends down to the tip of the boot.
We would spend two weeks traversing the area trying to assess what we were looking for: A masseria, a city apartment, a village house, a seaside apartment? And something within our means to purchase and renovate.
20 minutes south of Lecce is the hamlet of Marittima Del Diso, and a house rental had been arranged by Marcello, the architect and project manager who'd taken over Eve's house renovation when his partner had complications.
